Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona: Total goals – Over 4.5 @ 2.00

This has all the makings of a goal-filled classic at the Parc des Princes. PSG scored 10 goals in their opening two Champions League games vs Slovan Bratislava (6-1) and Manchester City (2-4), while Barcelona are currently averaging over four goals per game this season, with Hansi Flick’s side recently beating Galatasaray (1-4) and Real Betis (2-5). Lamine Yamal is in red-hot form with nine goals and 10 assists across all competitions, while PSG rested both Ousmane Demeble and Desire Doue vs Strasbourg (1-3) on the weekend – though both came off the bench and still scored! Over 4.5 goals were netted in four of Barcelona’s previous six matches, and given the fact this game is bereft of knockout-football jeopardy, it is a strong contender to follow that trend.

Atletico Madrid to beat Stuttgart @ 2.06

Atletico Madrid arrive in Germany for Matchday 3 on a run of six consecutive wins across all competitions. Diego Simeone’s men beat Manchester United 2-0 last Tuesday, before claiming a crucial 1-0 league victory at Espanyol. The La Liga side have certainly turned a corner after a slow start to the season, and at slightly better than evens they appear the standout ‘Match Result’ pick of the week. Stuttgart lost 1-0 at Hamburg on the weekend, while their previous home encounter saw them suffer another 1-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund. Over to you, Atleti.

Como vs Manchester United: Draw no bet – Como @ 1.65

This game is absolutely massive for Manchester United boss Michael Carrick, with the Red Devils on a run of six games without a win following the 1-1 draw at Leeds. The pressure is mounting on United, and travelling to Cesc Fabregas’ exciting Como side is perhaps not the ideal assignment at this point in time. The Italians won 3-1 at Fiorentina on the weekend, a welcome response to the 3-2 loss at Feyenoord last Wednesday. Como are also yet to lose at home this season, even claiming a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig on Matchday 1 of this competition. Siding with the hosts therefore feels like the smart play here.

Bayern Munich vs Arsenal: Player to score or assist – Ismael Saibari @ 2.11

Given his form and the fact it is Arsenal as the opponent, Harry Kane is naturally the player most eyes will lock on to in the pre-match betting. However, Saibari could be the shrewder pick, particularly with far better odds on offer. Michael Olise is suspended following his red card at Viking last week, so Saibari looks nailed on to feature from the off alongside Kane and Luis Diaz. And the Moroccan ace has started pretty well in a Bayern jersey following his move from PSV Eindhoven, tallying two goals and three assists from his first six Bundesliga appearances. Arsenal’s defence is a fearsome unit, but keeping a clean sheet at the Allianz Arena is a tall order for any outfit.

Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig: Anytime goalscorer – Kylian Mbappe @ 1.33

The odds for Mbappe to maintain his record of scoring in every Champions League match so far this season are ridiculously low, but it does just feel like a risk-free bet. Leipzig arrive at the Bernabeu on the back of a 6-1 mauling at the hands of Bayern Munich, their fourth straight away defeat following disappointments at Werder Bremen (3-1), Como (4-1) and Bayer Leverkusen (2-0). Overall, Mbappe has scored in his last four Champions League appearances, and boasts a record of nine goals in as many La Liga games this season. It could be another long night on the road for Leipzig’s back-line, with Mbappe right at the heart of things yet again.
