France vs Morocco: Player to score 2 or more goals – Kylian Mbappe @ 4.90
Mbappe has 15 goals in his last 12 World Cup appearances, and seven from five games at this tournament. This is the stage France’s skipper thrives on the most, and the current version of Didier Deschamps’ XI seems best suited to his needs. Mbappe scored twice in three out of five games at the tournament, and against a Morocco side which will surely play a more expansive game than Paraguay, he can fill his boots once again.
Spain to beat Belgium and over 2.5 goals scored in the match @ 2.37
Spain required a late, late goal from Mikel Merino to beat Portugal in a rather dull Iberian derby. The Portuguese barely made an attempt to claim the victory, but Luis de la Fuente’s side can perhaps expect a different approach from the Belgians – who thrashed co-hosts USA 4-1 in the Round of 16. The Red Devils netted 12 goals in their last three matches, failing to score only once in the previous 12 games overall. However, reigning European champions La Roja should have too much quality here in hopefully a high-scoring affair, having not lost in their last 35 matches (penalty shootouts not included).
Norway vs England: Anytime goalscorer both players to score – Erling Haaland and Harry Kane @ 4.40
World Cup 2026 has been dominated by the big-name forwards, and it does not get much bigger than Haaland vs Kane – the all-time leading scorers for their respective nations. Norway’s main man has seven goals from just four appearances, while England’s talisman has struck six times in five games. The numbers are quite simply astonishing, and the price on offer for them both to deliver once again is just too good to turn down. Goals should not be hard to come by in this fixture either, with Norway yet to keep a clean sheet at the tournament and England conceding five times in their five matches overall.
Argentina vs Switzerland: Anytime goalscorer – Lionel Messi @ 1.94
Messi’s explosion on the World Cup stage since the start of Qatar 2022 has been remarkable to watch. The Argentina star’s crucial equaliser in the 3-2 comeback victory over Egypt was the ninth straight match on this stage in which he has scored – a ridiculous record. Stopping Messi has proven to be an impossible task for Algeria, Austria, Jordan, Cape Verde and Egypt, so while Switzerland are arguably the toughest assignment on paper thus far for Lionel Scaloni’s men, we are still backing Messi to deliver for Argentina here. Just maybe not from the penalty spot…
