Aston Villa to beat Nottingham Forest @ 2.17

Villa finally got their season up and running on Tuesday evening courtesy of a 3-2 Champions League win at Club Brugge. It had been a torrid start for them in the Premier League, with just one point from three games and a solitary shot on target tallied. But confidence levels in the camp must be far higher now, and Unai Emery’s men can therefore target a victory over Forest – who have lost on their last five visits to Villa Park. At slightly better than evens, this looks like one of the standout Match Result picks of the weekend.

Chelsea vs Hull: Anytime goalscorer – Morgan Rogers @ 2.22

With Joao Pedro (1.69) and Cole Palmer (1.96) priced lower in this market, the most valuable option in terms of Chelsea’s electric front three is the in-form Rogers. The England international has enjoyed a stellar start to his Blues career, scoring against both Fulham and Arsenal. Hull are yet to concede in the Premier League this term, but a trip to Stamford Bridge throws up an entirely different challenge. Rogers also chipped in with four (yes, FOUR) assists in Chelsea’s 6-3 win over Leeds in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, so it is safe to say he has already found his groove in the final third.

Bournemouth vs Brentford: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.47

This has the potential to be one of the standout games of the weekend. Marco Rose’s Bournemouth are playing some exciting, Jurgen Klopp-esque football, which has seen them score and concede in every match thus far following last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle. And that is a trend we cannot see changing when Brentford visit the South Coast on Saturday. Keith Andrews’ side drew 1-1 in each of their previous two matches against Leeds and Sunderland, and backing BTTS to land in another Bees fixture looks the way to go.

Tottenham vs Everton: Double chance – Everton win or draw @ 1.69

This really is a massive game for Tottenham. Roberto De Zerbi’s men boast just one point from three matches and are yet to score. The last time at home, Spurs lost 2-0 to Newcastle and a repeat of that here would spell disaster. And only a fool would rule out Everton leaving North London with a positive result. The Toffees are unbeaten after following up a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace with draws vs Bournemouth and Manchester United – each of them salvaged by stoppage-time equalisers. Everton lost on their last five visits to Tottenham, but backing them to at least draw this time around could be a solid route to profit.

Sunderland vs Arsenal: Arsenal total goals – Over 1.5 @ 1.67

Arsenal arrive on Wearside with four wins from four across all competitions after beating Napoli 1-0 in the Champions League. But the scoreline only tells half of that story. The Gunners generated over 4.0 xG at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, and you feel it is only a matter of time until they deal out a thrashing to an opponent. Of course, Sunderland are no mugs and we expect them to put up a good fight on home soil, but Arsenal just look a different beast this season. With Riccardo Calafiori and Christos Tzolis back in the XI, expect Mikel Arteta’s men to score multiple times at the Stadium of Light.
