It is another new era for Italy following their failure to qualify for World Cup 2026. Roberto Mancini is back in charge of the Azzurri, the man who guided the country to glory at Euro 2020. Naturally, optimism levels are high, but a first assignment against World Cup quarter-finalists Belgium is far from ideal. The Red Devils are a pretty settled unit team-wise, though also under new management with Mark van Bommel taking over from Rudi Garcia. So it is a hard match to call, but Belgium’s 2-1 loss to Spain on July 10 was their only defeat in the last 19 games – a very good record indeed. World champions Spain kick off their Nations League campaign with a trip to Wembley and a date with England, a repeat of the Euro 2024 final.
