In this guide, we’ll walk you through the gameplay, highlight the standout features, and share practical tips so you can enjoy every spin with confidence.

All about John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen

John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen is an adventure-driven online slot that plunges players into the heart of Ancient Egypt. Developed by Pragmatic Play, the game continues the popular John Hunter saga, following the fearless explorer as he uncovers lost relics and forbidden tombs. This time, the quest leads to the legendary Scarab Queen, a mysterious ruler whose resting place is guarded by powerful symbols and hidden rewards.

The slot is built on a classic 5-reel layout with 25 fixed paylines, combining familiar mechanics with modern bonus design. A medium volatility profile ensures an engaging rhythm, where frequent smaller wins are balanced by the potential for larger payouts during feature rounds. With a top prize of up to 10,500x the total bet and an RTP of 96.5%, the game appeals to players who enjoy story-rich slots with meaningful reward potential. From its atmospheric soundtrack to its detailed symbols, everything works together to create a sense of exploration and anticipation on every spin.

How to Play John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen

Getting started with John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen is simple and intuitive. Once the reels are set in motion, wins are formed by landing matching symbols on active paylines from left to right. Because all 25 paylines are fixed, players do not need to worry about selecting lines before spinning, allowing full focus on the unfolding action.

The interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy to spin manually or use autoplay if preferred. The game’s mechanics are designed to be accessible for newcomers while still offering depth for experienced slot fans. Scatter symbols play a key role, as landing three or more anywhere on the reels triggers the free spins feature. Wild symbols substitute for most standard symbols, helping to complete winning combinations and increase overall hit frequency.

The smooth pacing and clear visual cues make it easy to follow when features are triggered, ensuring that players always understand why and how a win has occurred. Whether playing on desktop or mobile, the experience remains consistent and fluid.

How to Win on John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen

Winning in John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen revolves around understanding its symbols and feature mechanics. High-value symbols, such as John Hunter himself, deliver the strongest payouts when aligned across the reels. However, the real excitement comes from the game’s unique Collect feature involving scarab symbols.

Gold scarabs appear with random cash values, while the blue scarab acts as a Collect symbol. When a Collect symbol lands in the right conditions, it gathers the values of all visible gold scarabs and awards them as a prize. Several Collect variations can occur, including respins, multipliers, expanding symbols, and enhanced collection effects, each capable of significantly boosting a single win.

The free spins round is the most lucrative opportunity to increase winnings. During this feature, Collect bonuses appear more frequently, and the values from gold scarabs are added to a growing bonus pot. At the end of the round, this accumulated amount can be awarded on top of standard free spins payouts, creating the game’s biggest win potential.

To maximize success, players should focus on enjoying the feature-driven gameplay rather than chasing instant results. The balance between base game wins and explosive bonus moments is what makes John Hunter and the Tomb of the Scarab Queen a rewarding and engaging slot experience.
